It's a DATE!!

All week long Jackson has been driving me absolutely crazy asking me when Sunday is going to finally get here. Boy did he wake up excited today, because he knew that this was finally going to be the day for his DATE with new girlfriend Madeline!!

Madeline is in Jackson's class at school, AND she just happens to live on the very next street over from us in our neighborhood. How's that for geographical convenience. Every morning at school it's SO cute, because she ALWAYS yells over to him, HI JACKSON!!!! On Friday, she gave him a love note. It was rolled up into a scroll tied with yarn. Later that day at school, she drew him another picture. He has both hanging up displayed for everyone to see.

Jackson tells me that Madeline holds his hand all the time, and drags him all over the playground....and yes folks, it's started already.....he follows like a little obedient puppy dog. He also told me that Madeline said that he also has to sit next to her in class.

Today, we went to the Holtsville Ecology Center and Park with Madeline and her family. We had a great time together, and none of the kids wanted to leave 3 hours later when it was time to go. We all know that LOVE HURTS, but Jackson and Madeline found out the hard way when they bonked heads together by accident, and poor little Maddie got a bit of a goose egg around her eye. Of course picture day happens to be on Tuesday at school. Hopefully she's a quick healer!

One thing to note today.....as you'll see in the pictures, Madeline was also holding Logan's hand......we'll have to see what happens with this little triangle!!!!
