A Day at the Zoo

Tomorrow we are supposed to get hit with a big Nor'easter packing lots of rain and wind up to 50mph....so today we thought we'd take advantage of the pretty weather while we still had the chance to get outside.

After Stu got home from work, we headed over to the Long Island Game Farm...aka...Jerry's Zoo (Jerry is the resident giraffe that the boys LOVE to feed carrots to).

The Game Farm isn't technically open until April 28th for the season, but they are having some preview days right now. This means not all the animals are in place until May...the ones who don't do well in the cold weather like: Jerry the Giraffe (spends winters in Tennessee), the lions and tigers (spend winters in Florida), and the monkeys and exotic birds (Don't really know where they go).

We had so much fun!!! This is one of the boys' FAVORITE places to go. We have a season pass, so during the summer, you can usually find us there about once a week. This year is even more exciting for them, because now they can run around the place on foot, instead of being confined in a stroller. They are LOVING that!!!!!

As usual, you can click below for a little PhotoShow of the boys enjoying their day. Enjoy!!
