Where'd the Weekend Go?

Geez...I feel like we've been gone ALL weekend...and we pretty much have. Yesterday I attended the 2007 Lia Sophia Spring/Summer Line Kick-Off Rally. I left the house first thing in the morning, and didn't get home till almost 5:00...just in time to freshen up, throw the kids in the car, and head right back out to go to dinner. Get home, bathed the boys, and into bed they went.

This morning we got up and went to the Long Island Science Center with some of our triplet friends. We had never been there before, and all the kids really had a GREAT time! It's kind of like a smaller version of our local Children's Museum. Completely hands-on and interactive...Perfect for the boys!! In addition to all the fun and educational stations they were able to experience, this place also has a whole other area all set up for themed craft activities.

Today's theme was "Snowflakes". The boys were able to go from table to table and do different crafts pertaining to the creation of snowflakes. Two of the most age appropriate crafts they did were GREAT!!! At one table they were given different sized marshmallows and lots of toothpicks to make "marshmallow snowflakes". At another table they were given paper plates, glue, and cotton swabs to make "Q-Tip Snowflakes". Both came out so cute!!! You can see a picture of one of the crafts below.

Afterwards we all went across the street, and invaded a pizza place with three sets of triplets all under the age of 4. The kids were actually all really great, and we had quite an enjoyable lunch. We were hoping the boys would nap on the way home, but they were too interested in the new toys they got in the Science Center gift shop.

We got home, relaxed for a while, then went out to dinner with Aunt Lisa, Uncle Richard, and their kids. A very full, yet very enjoyable weekend!!!! Gotta love it!
