Sun...Sun...Sun!!!

Can I just tell you all how much fun we are having so far!!! Each day we have spent down here in Florida visiting YaYa and PaPa, has really been lived to the fullest. Thankfully the weather has been amazing, and the poor kids are TOAST by the end of the day. We couldn't stop them though even if we tried.

They are loving the beach this year, and would you believe I can actually sit in a chair and relax without them running off!!! They are having a blast playing with all their beach toys, building sand castles, digging tunnels in the sand, and chasing seagulls. YaYa and PaPa surprised the boys, and bought them their very own swimming pool too!!! Once they are in there there is no way to get them out! This afternoon they spent over 3 hours in the pool, and threw a fit when it was time to get out and get ready for dinner.

We spent a good chunk of the day at the Jacksonville Zoo on Saturday, and may I say what an AWESOME zoo it is. It has been through many changes over the years, and now it really ranks up there with some of the major zoos around the country. Highly recommended!!!! The boys got to see lots of animals they have never seen before...like the Pygmie Marmoset...all you Go Diego Go fans out there know how exciting this had to be for them. They also saw new things like Giant Anteaters, Tapiers, Cappyberras, and East African Bongos. There were, of course many more...but you get the idea.

One of my very BEST friends in the whole world lives in Virginia. She and her family just happened to have timed their vacation here so part of it overlapped our trip...so Laura, her boys, my boys, and I got to spend some fun time together at the beach while they were in town. We hadn't seen each other since October, and boy was it awesome to have her here!!!! I miss you La!!!

We have also been visiting with a whole lot of people since we have arrived. How wonderful it is to see everyone, especially since it has been a whole year since our last visit. We also had an unexpected surprise appearance from my brother Andy last night. He lives in Orlando, and we weren't going to be seeing him till next weekend....but he had been in South Carolina for the weekend at a skydiving festival, and was driving home. He decided to pop in to say hello on his way through, and surprise my Dad for Father's Day.

I have been trying to include some pictures in my vacation blogs, but apparently there is a setting in this computer at Mom and Dad's house that isn't allowing it to happen. I will keep trying though, because there have been some really AWESOME shots!! Well you have to know to expect MANY PhotoShow slideshows upon my return.
