We just got home from visiting with the Pulmonologist, and Tristan has FINALLY been cleared for surgery! He goes in first thing tomorrow morning to Stony Brook, and if all goes well, will have his surgery tomorrow. His lungs will get a listen to once more in the morning during pre-op by the surgeon and the anesthesiologist...if he still sounds good...then they will roll him into the OR and do the surgery.

Please pray everything goes smoothly. This will not be an ambulatory procedure. Tristan's surgery will take place in the hospital's main surgical OR. They want to have all the medical equipment they might need right at their fingertips, because of the fragile state of his lungs. The Peds floor is on notice, and a bed is reserved for him. They have not decided if he will stay overnight yet or not. It all depends on him, but they just want to have bases covered.
