It looks like the most recent protocol of medication seems to have worked for Tristan (fingers crossed). So, as of right now...Tristan will go to the Pulmonologist next Thursday 4/13 for what we hope will be final clearance. His surgery is booked for Friday morning, 4/14. (The surgeon is out of town at a conference this week).
The weird thing is, that the Pulmonologist acted quite surprised that the meds worked for him. She said that means he had a Micoplasma...A specific bacteria that clusters in the airways causing Walking Pneumonia. So that means Tristan probably had this secondary infection of Walking Pneumonia ever since he was in the hospital. It can linger for 6-8 weeks, and sometimes even longer.
I am just happy that he is sounding GREAT right now! Hopefully he will continue to do so from here on out. Please pray he stays healthy while waiting for his surgery to take place.
Jackson remains on oxygen and hooked up to machines during sleep, but his numbers are definitely much improved. I am hoping for continued improvement each day, so that we can get rid of the oxygen and machinery.
