We're finally home from the hospital. Boy has it been a long day! Tristan's surgery itself went pretty well, but the surgeon told me the hernia was much worse than he originally thought...so the procedure took longer than planned. Of course, this is what he told me last time too.

After the surgery was over, Tristan went into some respiratory distress...but overcame it pretty well. He stayed in recovery for the rest of the day where he was closely monitored. Then they told me I could finally take him home. He is definitely not himself yet, but that is to be expected.

He has two weeks worth of physical restrictions, and can't take a real bath for a week...YUCK!!! Hopefully though he will start feeling better in the next couple of days. We have to go back to the surgeon in 7-10 days for a follow-up, and then that will be that.

THANK GOODNESS THIS PART IS OVER!!!! Thank you so much for all of your prayers and well wishes. I don't know what I would do without your support!!! Now we just need to get Jackson off his oxygen, and we will be all set!
