Forts and Food

Today was one big washout for any type of outdoor play. Rain, rain, and more rain all day long! There were flood warnings and roads closed all over the place.

After their OT session this morning, the boys decided it would be the perfect day to make a fort in the living room. They had SO MUCH FUN, and played in their fort for almost two hours!!! They even refused snack and told me they'd have lunch later. The only thing that spoiled their fun, was when we had to clean it all up so we could get Logan to the Audiologist for his pre-surgical hearing test.



His typanograms were not completely flat today, however the Audiologist said that Logan is definitely NOT hearing normally, because of all the fluid in both ears. He will have another follow-up hearing test 2 weeks after his surgeries.

Even with all this rain, my friend Lisa (a different Lisa, not my shoe shopping partner in crime) and I snuck out for a cozy dinner at a four star restaurant tonight. It's Restaurant Week on Long Island, where a bunch of the 4 and 5 star dining establishments have created three-course prix fixe menus for $21.95 per person all week long. Can I just say YUM~!!!!! We are now trying to get a babysitter for tomorrow night, so we can take the men along with us and try out another place. Where else can you get this kind of amazing food at those kind of amazing prices???
