It was a gorgeous day out today, so Kate (the boys' Occupational Therapist) asked me if she could do some outdoor activities with them. Of course I said, so we went out front. Kate proceeded to do some tactile excercises and activities with them to help with their touch sensations and sensitivities. She started with a bucket full of rice and magnetic letters. The boys had to put their hands all in the rice looking for the buried letters. They did well with that, so we moved on to other activities.
Then Kate asked if I would mind if she broke out the shaving cream. Shaving cream is quite gooey, and perfect therapy for tactile sensory kids...having it oozing all around in their hands. Well, in a perfect setting the boys would have just squished it around in their hands for a few minutes, and then we would have wiped it off for them, and moved on to another activity....
Not my boys!!!! They had other plans....Check out the PhotoShow by clicking the link below to see what happened!!!

That's great! The first time with that, my boys ran away screaming, and Malena tried to eat the whole thing! Your boys had so much fun!
Say ... we have that same exact van!
These are great pictures ... I'll have to try shaving cream therapy with our trio!
