From Shamu to Mickey

I am completely amazed how much fun the boys are having here in O-Town. Some people might think that the boys are a little young to be going to the parks...but I am here to tell you that, those people would be completely WRONG!!! We are having a BLAST in Orlando, and Jackson, Logan, and Tristan are LOVING it here!!

Saturday we picked Stu up at the airport and got settled in at Andy's house. We went out to dinner, then did some tacky tourist stuff. Sunday morning, we got up and went to Sea World. We stayed there all day, and we really had a very enjoyable time. I honestly don't remember Sea World being so much fun. There was a lot of great stuff for the boys to see...like the dolphin nursery where they could touch lots of dolphins....they saw manatees, sting rays, polar bears, penguins, sharks, puffins, and of course...Shamu.

Sunday night we went to DownTown Disney for dinner. We had planned to eat at the Rainforest Cafe (purely for the atmosphere), but to our dismay...there was a THREE HOUR wait. Ok, so much for atmosphere....we ended up eating at one of Wolfgang Puck's restaurants instead.

Today we got up early, and off to Disney property we went. We started off the morning at the Animal Kingdom where we went exploring animal exhibits. We also of course went on the Kilamanjaro Safari Tour, which was a HUGE hit with the boys.

Then we got in the car, and drove over to the Magic Kingdom. In the short 5 minute drive over there...wouldn't you know it, the boys all fell asleep. So we let them nap in the car for about 30 minutes woke them up, changed diapers, and went into the park. Immediately, we saw Mickey and Minnie...and that was all it took to get them excited. I have to say that the boys did phenomenally well in the parks. You have to leave the strollers behind for most all of the attractions, so we had them on harnesses. I felt like a dog walker, but they got a kick out of it, and cooperated quite nicely...even while standing in lines.

Halfway through the day, the monsoon came along with major thunder and lightening...so we spent quite a bit of time standing under snack shacks with hundreds of other park-goers. Just when you thought the storms were over and you start venturing out...it would start all over again. I'd say we lost a total of about 3 hours that day due to the rain.

Around dinner time, the boys still had smiles on their faces...so we decided to head over to EPCOT. We ate as soon as we got there, then did a couple of attractions. By that time it was the end of the night, and time for their fireworks display. What a great way to end the day. We wish we had another day in the parks...but, Stu has to go back to work.
